Manaslu circuit trekking
Manaslu circuit trekking is one of the beautiful trekking routes which offer us spectacular view of Manaslu along with some other glittering ranges of mountains. The trekking route is equally enriched with the genuine Hindu and Buddhists religion. The trekking to this region is main focused on the splendid and close view of the eight highest mountain of the world i.e. Manaslu with the altitude of 8163m above sea level. To trek at this region is considered as one of the best feelings in the life of any trekker’s life. Not only the high mountains but also due to the presence of different types of flora and fauna, the charm of the nature has increased. We need to pass several pass and several large rivers during the trek. The trekking at Manaslu trekking route generally contains trekking at the high altitude where we need to acclimatize ourselves at the different places of the route.
The trekking to the highlands of Manaslu region begins from Kathmandu with a drive over to Soti Khola and then Macha Khola. The trail to the high lands follows the contrary way of the Budhi Gandaki River. The trekking route goes through the beautiful place like Jagat, Deng, Namrung, Samagaon, Bimtang and other numerous villages or place from where we will have the glorious view of mountains and forest at many parts. Generally the time of autumn and summer is taken as the best season to have a trekking at this region but according to the will of trekkers, A Nepal Trek is organizing the trekking at Manaslu circuit trekking area of Nepal with the provision of better guides and experts help.
Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu at TIA, a representative of A Nepal Trek will warmly welcome you to Nepal. She/he will guide you towards the hotel room of Nepal. The day can be either rest day or some sightseeing day of Kathmandu. The night will be at the hotel by discussing about the tour and enjoying the delicious dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Aarughat
We will begin the trekking early in the morning. We will catch the local bus to Arughat which will take about 8 to 9 hours of exciting journey. The trail goes through the Prithivi highway, which will serve us beautiful sceneries all around us. We will have our lunch on the way. We will follow the way towards Aarughat from Dhadingbeshi.
Day 03: Aarughat to Soti Khola
From Aarughat, we will begin our trekking to the Manaslu region. We will follow the way towards the Soti khola which goes through the cultivated farms and through the beautiful Gurung villages of the region. We will see the first glimpse of Shringi Himal from Shanti Bazaar. We will cross the suspension bridge to spend the night over there.
Day 04: Soti Khola to Machha Khola
After having the breakfast at Soti Khola, we will trek towards the Machha Khola following the way for about 6 hours. The trail follows the forest and the settlements of Liding and Lapubesi. The trail will continue following the snow melted glaciers and other rocky mountains and the night to spend at Machha Khola.
Day 05: Machha Khola to Dovan
From Machha khola, we will follow the rolling trail to cross several streams of the way. We will reach at Khola Besi after a walk for several hours. We will have our lunch there and will follow towards the suspension bridge to clear the night at Dovan at 1070m.
Day06: Dovan to Philim
From Dovan, we will catch the steeply rocky trail which will continue towards the Yara khola. After crossing the long suspension bridges of here, we will reach at Jagat. From Jagat, we will enter into the Manaslu conservation area. Along with the way, we will see the dramatic view of Shringi Himal to our top. The night will be spending at Philim.
Day07: Philim to Deng
From Philim, we will walk in front towards the Deng. We can get the mesmerizing view of mountains through our naked eyes throughout the way. We need to cross the suspension bridge over the Budhi Gandaki River to catch the forest to Deng at 1860m.
Day 08: Deng to Namrung
After crossing the Budhi Gandaki River, our trekking for the day begins. We will climb towards the trail from Bhi and move towards the west of Budhi Gandaki. The trail passes through the forests and Mani walls. We will take the route that goes through the Prok village. We will view the beautiful picture of Shringi Himal from the view point. We need to cross Budhi Gandaki River for many times today. We should continue our trek until we reach to Namrung from Deng after a trekking of about 6 to 7 hours. The night will be at Namrung.
Day 09: Namrung to Samagaon
Early morning at Namrung, we will be busy to view the glorious view of Siring and Ganesh Himal. We will walk through the pass to reach to Lihi after crossing some beautiful forest and villages covered with the chortens and barley fields. We will enjoy the view of Manaslu Himal from Lho village. After continuing along walk for about 8 to 9 hours, we will be at Samagaon for the night.
Day 10: Samagaon to Pungyen Gompa and back to Samagaon
The day can be taken as exploration day of Samagaon. We will get the close up view of Sherpa community living here. We will surely enjoy the presence of thousands chortens hanging over the way and beautifully painted walls. We can hike towards the Pungyen Gompa. Pungyen actually means bracelet, a good description of two peaks. The night will be back to Samagaon after the full day exploration.
Day 11: Samagaon to Samdo:
From Samagaon, we will descend towards the Budi Gandaki River. The trail to north leads us towards the Manasalu base camp. The way goes towards the forest of juniper and birch. We will make our way us and downs viewing some dazzling view around us. The continue trail will leads us to Samdo at 3860m.
Day 12: Samdo to Dharmasala
From Samdo, we continue our trail down the edge to cross the Budi Gandaki River in the wooden bridge. We will witness the beautiful Larkya glacier and after that we need to climb towards the stone guest house which is also called Dharmasala. The trek of today is comparatively short from Samdo to Dharmasala at 4460m with the walking hour of about 4 to 5 hours.
Day 13: Dharmasala to Larkya la to Bimtang
After a short climb up from the Dharmasala, we will reach to the north side of the Larkya glaciers from where we can view the great view of Cho Danda and Larkya peak. From the pass, we can see the astonishing view of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru Himal and the Annapurna II. The trekking is longer than usual as it goes towards the Bimtang walking for about 8 to 9 hours. The night will be strenuous after a long walk at Bimtang.
Day 14: Bimtang to Tilije
After enjoying the spectacular view of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal, we descend further towards the Sangure Kharka followed by the bridge of Dudh Khola. We walk through the rhododendron forest and will reach to the cultivated area at Karche. After walking a short distance from Karche, we will reach at Gho village. We will continue to walk until we reach to Tilije to rest at one of the lodges.
Day 15: Tilije to Tal
From Tilije, we will climb over the small ridge enjoying the stone paved ways. We need to cross the Dudh Khola from the bridge and to climb over the Thonje village. There is a police check point at the village. We will move towards the Dharapani to come across the village of Karte. We will walk for about 5 to 6 hours to reach to Tal at 1700m.
Day 16: Tal to Syange
Tal is a very beautiful village. We will wake up early in the morning to view some of the scenic beauty of Tal village. Then we move following the trail to Chamje village crossing the Marsyangdi village. The trail then descends through the forest of rhododendron and pine to Syange. The night will be glorious at Syange at 1080m. Today, we trek for about 6 to 7 hours.
Day 17: Syange to Kathmandu
From Syange, we can catch the drive to Kathmandu through the Besisahar which offers us the opportunity of watching and enjoying some scenic beauty all over the way. We will be at Kathmandu within a interval of 8 to 9 hours. The night will be at one of the best hotel arranged by A Nepal Trek. If we got some time then we will surely enjoy the celebration party of Manaslu circuit trek.
Day 18: Final Departure
After having a relaxing night at Kathmandu, finally, the day of returning back to our home country and busy schedule has come with the ending of our glittering tour over to the highlands of Nepal. A Nepal Trek will organize a small farewell program at the airport and will help for any inconvenience that may arise during the departure. We wish for your better journey ahead.
